After graduating with honours in Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery, Dr Richardson completed his Postgraduate Diploma of Surgical Anatomy whilst undertaking three years of general surgery prior to commencing his plastic surgery training in Melbourne.

Upon gaining his Specialist Plastic Surgeon Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Dr Richardson was appointed by the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh (RACS, Ed) the prestigious Senior Clinical Plastic & Reconstructive Fellowship at The Oxford University Hospital’s NHS Foundation Trust (John Radcliffe, The Churchill and The Nuffield Hospitals), United Kingdom, pursuing his subspecialty interests in head and neck, breast, and cleft lip and palate surgery.

Subsequently, Dr Richardson completed further aesthetic (cosmetic) surgical training in the Harley Street Medical District of London and returned to Australia via Pakistan with a volunteer cleft lip and palate surgical team.

Dr Richardson’s private rooms are at Queens Parade Specialists in Fitzroy North, Melbourne – the home of ESSENCEskin – together with his wife, Dr Sophia Richardson, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.

He is an appointed Consultant Specialist Plastic Surgeon with admitting privileges at Epworth Freemasons, Epworth Richmond, St Vincent’s Private Kew and East Melbourne, St John of God Berwick, and Vermont Private Hospital.

Dr Richardson is also a VMO (Visiting Medical Officer) Specialist Plastic Surgeon at The Skin Health Institute (Carlton) where he performs skin cancer, melanoma and reconstructive surgery of the face and body.
