The treatment uses wavelengths of light to target the skin at a cellular level, stimulating and repairing the skin.

Dr Jeremy Richardson uses Healite LED. The light from this device penetrates through the epidermis (outer layer of skin) and into the dermis (deeper layers of skin) to stimulate the body’s natural healing systems.

What Skin Conditions Can Healite LED Therapy Address?

LED light therapy works by transferring a precise amount of heat into the skin to trigger the body’s healing response. The process does not damage the skin but instead stimulates cellular repair, wound healing, and collagen production. The Healite LED Therapy device has three different wavelength settings, each designed to target different skin concerns. As a result, we can customise the treatment to your skin condition and needs.

Yellow light increases blood flow which aids in wound healing, pain relief, and moisture retention.

Red light is effective in increasing collagen and elastin, which can reduce signs of ageing and inflammation.

Blue light has anti-bacterial effects, which can help treat active acne.

We will tailor the treatment to your skin needs. Therefore, you will need to consult with Dr Richardson beforehand to determine a treatment plan that suits you. The treatment can address issues such as:

  • Dull or dry skin
  • Lines and wrinkles
  • Acne
  • Eczema
  • Rosacea
  • Sun damage
  • Scarring
  • Wounds
  • Muscle and joint pain
  • Damaged skin
  • Other inflammatory issues

What to Expect

On the day of the treatment, Dr Richardson will set the wavelength and ensure you are correctly positioned under the LED light. Additionally, you will need to wear goggles to protect your eyes. The light will penetrate your skin, creating thermal effects and triggering your body’s natural healing response. Dr Richardson can adjust the settings depending on your skin concerns.

LED light for skin therapy does not cause damage to the skin but uses heat to activate cellular recovery. After the procedure, you should start to see a gradual change in skin tone and texture due to increased blood flow, collagen, and cellular repair. The average session takes less than 30 minutes, and patients can go home immediately after treatment.
