The treatment uses wavelengths of light to target the skin at a cellular level, stimulating and repairing the skin.

Dr Jeremy Richardson uses the highly effective Healite LED. The light penetrated through the epidermis (outer layer of skin) and into the dermis (deeper layers of skin) in order to stimulate your body’s natural healing systems. The treatment can be a great option for men and women seeking a non-invasive skin rejuvenation treatment.

What Are the Benefits of Healite LED Therapy?

LED light therapy works by transferring a precise amount of heat into the skin so as to trigger the body’s healing response. The process does not cause damage to the skin, but instead stimulates cellular repair, wound healing, and collagen production. The advanced Healite LED Therapy device has three different wavelength settings, each designed to target different skin concerns. As a result, we can customise the treatment to your skin condition and needs.

Yellow light increases blood flow which aids in wound healing, pain relief, and moisture retention.

Red light is effective in increasing collagen and elastin, which can reduce signs of aging and inflammation, as well as improve skin tone.

Blue light has anti-bacterial effects, which makes it a great treatment for active acne.

We will tailor the treatment to your skin needs in order to optimise results and provide lasting rejuvenation. Therefore, you will need to consult with Dr Richardson beforehand to determine a treatment plan that best suits you. The powerful treatment can address issues such as:

  • Dull or dry skin
  • Lines and wrinkles
  • Acne
  • Eczema
  • Rosacea
  • Sun damage
  • Scarring
  • Wounds
  • Muscle and joint pain
  • Damaged or tired skin
  • Other inflammatory issues

What to Expect

On the day of your treatment, Dr Richardson will set the wavelength and ensure you are correctly positioned under the LED light. Additionally, you will need to wear goggles to protect your eyes. The treatment is not painful, and many patients find it relaxing and enjoyable. The light will penetrate into your skin, creating thermal effects and triggering your body’s natural healing response. Dr Richardson can adjust the settings in order to produce the desired effects whilst ensuring you are comfortable.

LED light for skin therapy does not cause damage to the skin but uses heat to activate cellular recovery. After your procedure, you should start to see a gradual improvement in your skin’s tone and texture due to increased blood flow, collagen, and cellular repair. The average session takes less than 30 minutes, and patients can go home straight after their treatment.
