By addressing both the volume and elevation of the breasts, surgeons can achieve a more ideal shape and position on the chest wall.

If you are seeking to increase your breast volume as well as correct a low or sagging appearance, this procedure may be an ideal option. Dr Jeremy Richardson will assess your condition and develop a plan that suits your body and ideal results.

What is a Breast Augmentation Mastopexy?

Breast augmentation mastopexy is a blend of surgical procedures. The breast lift component works to reshape the breast in order to raise its position on the chest. This can be beneficial for patients who feel their breasts are too low as well as women who wish to raise the position of the nipple. To optimise results, the addition of implants helps patients achieve fuller breast volume.

Women may seek this procedure for many reasons, including changes to the breasts after weight loss, post-pregnancy, or natural ageing. The procedure can:

  • Correct symmetry issues
  • Raise a low nipple position
  • Improve self-esteem and confidence
  • Restore youthful fullness to the breasts
  • Give the breasts a firmer, lifted appearance
  • Improve sagging and deflated breasts

What to Expect During Your Consultation

Prior to your surgery, you will need to consultation with Dr Richardson in order to establish a surgical plan that is best for your body. Dr Richardson will inquire about your health and medical history, as well as your reasons for seeking surgery. This will help us ensure you are a good candidate before proceeding. Good candidates should be in good overall health and quit smoking at least a few weeks before surgery. Therefore, if you are healthy and concerned about small, deflated, or low-sitting breasts, this procedure may be ideal for you.

During your initial meeting with us, you will be able to express your concerns and what outcomes you hope to achieve. As well as this, we will discuss your surgical options and begin to outline a plan suited to your needs.

The Procedure

Every breast augmentation mastopexy is different. There are a number of surgical methods, incision placement options, as well as implant types. For example, patients can choose between smooth and textured, as well as round and teardrop implants. We will discuss all of these factors during your consultation.

The procedure will occur under general anaesthesia, which means patients will be asleep during surgery. Generally, breast augmentation mastopexy will take between 90 minutes and two hours to complete. Dr Richardson will make the necessary incisions and begin reshaping the breast. Excess tissue and skin will be removed and the nipple may be repositioned to create a natural appearance. Dr Richardson will then insert your implants and close the incisions.

Depending on the exact techniques used, you may be left with scars beneath the breasts or around the areolas. In some cases, patients will have a scar running down from the areola to the lower breast crease.

Cost of Breast Augmentation Mastopexy

Fees can vary from patient to patient, based on the details of your surgery. When thinking about fees, you will need to consider your surgeon’s fees, anaesthetist fees, hospital fees, as well as aftercare and medication. You should also consider the cost of your chosen implants.

Since some procedures are more extensive than others, the techniques can also have an impact on the total cost of the surgery. If you have further questions about fees, we can discuss these during your private consultation.
